Gaston De Cardenas is a photojournalist and commercial photographer based in Miami, Florida since 1988. Combining the documentary style of photojournalism with the creativity and innovative visuals of an artist with an innate ability to capture the essence of any image, he specializes in high-impact photography for advertising, internet, print, and other related mediums.

Formally trained in communication arts, photojournalism, design, and fine arts at St. Thomas University in Miami. DeCardenas has covered major news stories such as the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, and the Elian Gonzalez saga.
